My Philosophy - Learning Advantage Tutoring

Setting a strong foundation for academic success starts with mutual respect between teacher and student. Equally important, a student must feel secure in knowing that s/he will be supported and encouraged during their learning journey. To foster this type of environment, my tutoring philosophy combines academic skill development with building a healthy self-esteem in a calm and productive environment. This translates into long-term improved academic performance.

In the initial session, I will customize a learning program that's right for your student by identifying and recognizing their strengths. This starts with conducting an individualized skills assessment to determine learning style and capabilities. Every child learns differently. For example, not all students are auditory learners, yet too many are expected to sit in their seats and "listen" to learn. My commitment to differentiation, and ability to uncover the best way each child learns, will help your student succeed with confidence and give them that learning advantage.
